The International Year of the Periodic Table
Electrochemical Nanostructuring Group took part in launch of the International Year of Mendeleev’s Periodic Table

On 28-30 January 2019, an official launch event of the International Year of Periodic Table (IYPT 2019) took part in Paris, at the headquarters of UNESCO. This event gathered chemists, students in chemistry and chemistry lovers from all over the world. Besides the opening ceremony and lectures of noted scientists, there was an exhibition devoted to several chemical elements such as H, Li, He, N, Ru, etc. Our students Aleksei Sadykov and Tatiana Komarova demonstrated the stand "Aluminium". Everyone visiting the exposition might made the acquaintance of photonic crystals based on anodic aluminium oxide, and, moreover, fabricated a sample of it as a souvenir.
